History of the Lucky Horseshoe

The “Lucky Horseshoe” legend dates back to the 12th Century when Saint Dunstan gave the horseshoe a special power against evil. Approached by Satan to make horseshoes for his cloven feet, Dunstan knew he was the devil. He shackled him to the wall to attach the horseshoes and refused to free the devil until he promised never to enter a house with a horseshoe.

Still today the horseshoe can be found nailed above or near the front door of many homes throughout Europe and is respected as a magically protective amulet.

In Britain and many other countries the “Lucky Horseshoe” is used as a wedding accessory, good luck symbol and keepsake, which is traditionally given to the bride and often carried with the bouquet.

There are horseshoes for every occasion and everyone needs a little bit of luck now and then.  We have horseshoes for weddings or for baby showers.

Why not give the gift of well   wishes and good luck to your friends and family!
